A normal display replacement does not intentionally alter files or the operating system. Data on a damaged laptop cannot be guaranteed, so keep a current backup whenever possible.
Can you replace high-refresh or gaming laptop screens?
We assess gaming and high-refresh laptop panels where the correct specification is available. Refresh rate, resolution, connector position and panel technology must match the exact model, so we verify the part before fitting.
Can a broken hinge damage the screen?
Yes. Hinge or lid damage can place stress on the display panel, cable and mounting points. We inspect the surrounding assembly so a new panel is not fitted into a structure that could damage it again.
Should I buy a screen online before bringing the laptop in?
We recommend confirming compatibility first. Two laptops with similar names can use different panels, and a screen that physically fits may still have the wrong connector, resolution or refresh rate.
